The final part of the basic movement is the escapement.  The escape wheel is similar to the other wheels but, both parts are steel and the strange shaped teeth will interact with the pallet fork to allow the train to work in a series of steps.  This is in good condition.

The pivots are fine as well.

This part and the pallet fork jewels are treated with a special Epilame treatment and then this escape wheel is fitted to the movement so that the brass gear of the fourth wheel meshes with its small gear.

And its bridge (cock) is fitted to support it.

The pallet fork is reviewed and again this and its jewels are in good condition.

As is the jewel in the pallet fork bridge.

The fork and bridge are fitted to the movement.

And finally the balance is re-fitted and the basic movement is running.

With the base movement built, the escapement greasing and initial timing checks can be made.
